Healing Garden Construction About to Begin

The long-awaited Healing Garden at Benesse Oncolgy Center is about to become a reality! Work is expected to commence on or about June 30, and plans are underway for a mid-July groundbreaking celebration. Please join us for the groundbreaking! The public is invited, and all guests will have the opportunity to see what the garden will look like as well as to learn how healing gardens are helpful to cancer patients.

If you have already decided that you’d like to make a gift of beauty, healing and hope to cancer patients, you can do so on-line, or through the U.S. Mail.

Second Annual Major Quality Cares Closes as a Success

The second annual “Major Quality Cares”, the employee giving campaign for the Major Hospital Foundation, kicked off November 1, 2007 with a rousing $12,893 being pledged on that very first day!   The name of the campaign is a play on words using the name of Major Hospital and the hospital’s slogan, “Quality Care from Quality People”.  It’s also very accurate—Major’s employees—all throughout the enterprise and in every position—care for Major’s patients with quality.  The employee giving campaign is just another opportunity to do so and they embrace it whole-heartedly.  Case in point--they responded enthusiastically to the 2006 first ever campaign by pledging a total of $48,498.16!...read more...
